Lady Raiders to Play on ESPNU

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech women's basketball team added another television game to its schedule as ESPNU will televise the Tech vs. Texas game on Wed., Feb. 1, at 5 p.m. in Lubbock. It marks the 11th national and/or regional television game for the Lady Raiders in 2005-06. Tech will also broadcast seven home games, including two exhibition games, on the Texas Tech Television Network, while the game at Oklahoma will be televised on the Sooner Sports Network and air locally in Lubbock for a total of 19 television games this season.
The Lady Raiders tip-off the season by hosting LSU on ESPN2 in the State Farm Women's Tip-Off Classic on Nov. 13 at 2:30 p.m. Other ESPN2 appearances include games at Penn State (Dec. 4, 2 p.m. CST) and at Texas (Feb. 26, 3 p.m.).
Tech will have six contests on FSN beginning with Stanford Nov. 27 in Lubbock at 3:30 p.m. The first Big 12 game on FSN for the Lady Raiders will be a home game with Baylor Jan. 15 at 2 p.m. followed by another home game with Nebraska Jan. 21 at 5 p.m. Tech will have three conference road games on FSN: at Missouri Jan. 28 at 1 p.m.; at Texas A&M Feb. 5 at 3 p.m.; and at Baylor Feb. 19 at 2 p.m. The Lady Raiders will play on FSN Midwest in their Big 12 opener at Kansas State Jan. 4 at 7 p.m.
The Lady Raiders will play on the Texas Tech Television Network on seven occasions, including their two exhibition games. Tech will play Love and Basketball Nov. 3 at 7 p.m. and Everyone's Internet on Nov. 8 at 7 p.m. for its two exhibition games. The following home games will also air on the Texas Tech Television Network: Sacramento State (Dec. 1, 7 p.m.), Oral Roberts (Dec. 15, 7 p.m.), Texas A&M (Jan. 7, 7 p.m.), Colorado (Feb. 11, 7 p.m.) and Oklahoma (Mar. 1, 7 p.m.). Tech's game at Oklahoma Jan. 18 will be broadcast on the Sooner Sports Network at 7 p.m., which will air locally in Lubbock. The Texas Tech Television Network and the game on the Sooner Sports Network will be televised on either UPN22 or FOX34 in Lubbock.
