Lady Raiders Fall to Everyone's Internet, 66-63

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech women's basketball team concluded exhibition play with a 66-63 loss to Everyone's Internet Tuesday night at the United Spirit Arena. Senior LaToya Davis registered 22 points and 12 rebounds for the Lady Raiders.
In the first half, Tech jumped out to a 16-4 lead in the first six minutes of the game before Everyone's Internet took the lead at 19-18 with 5:55 remaining in the first period. Everyone's Internet went into the locker room with a 30-26 advantage.
The Lady Raiders opened the second half going on a 7-2 run to take the lead at 33-32. Tech led throughout the second period before Everyone's Internet tied the game at 61-61 with 1:38 to go in the game. The Lady Raiders scored on a pair of free throw by Tiny Henderson to lead 63-61. Everyone's Internet then went to the line and hit one of two free throws to cut the lead to one at 63-62. Tech did not score the last 1:10 of the game, while Everyone's Internet scored four-straight points to claim the 66-63 victory.
Henderson finished the game with 11 points, while sophomore Erin Myrick had 10 points and three blocks. Senior Erin Grant dished out a game-high 12 assists and junior Alesha Robertson grabbed 10 rebounds.
Tech shot 42.6 percent from the field (26-61) and Everyone's Internet hit 31 percent of its shots (18-58). The Lady Raiders outrebounded Everyone's Internet 45 to 33.
Tech will tip-off the season against LSU as it hosts the State Farm Women's Tip-Off Classic on Sun., Nov. 13 at 2:30 p.m. The first game will feature Baylor and Georgia at noon at the United Spirit Arena.
