LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech Women's Soccer announced the signing of Taylor Redus to the squad for the 2005 season this afternoon.
Redus was a four-year varsity starter at Colleyville Heritage high school. Redus, a defender, was a captain during the 2003-2005 seasons and was the Defensive Player of the Year during the 2002-2003 seasons.
Redus is also a member of the Dallas Texans Red 87 club team. She led her club team to a 2004 regional and state cup championship.
"We are glad Taylor has chosen to part of our program," said head coach Neil McGuire. "She will provide depth to our defensive pool and challenge for starting honors. Coming from the Dallas Texans, one of the premier soccer clubs in the nation, will give her the pedigree required to compete at the Big 12 level."
