Red Raider Golf En Route to Aggie Invitational

LUBBOCK, Texas - The No.36 Texas Tech men's golf team travels to College Station, Texas, for the Aggie Invitational April 16-17. The Red Raiders will use this last tournament to work out any kinks in their game before competing in the Big 12 Championships in Trinity, Texas, April 29-May 1.
Tech is led by the clubs of Oscar Floren who is averaging a 72.91 followed by junior Andrew Dresser boasting a 74.04 stroke-average. Rounding out the top Raiders are Senior Shaun Melville (74.44), junior Nicolas Allain (75.27) and junior Tyler Symons (75.53).
Tech will play part in the Aggies first tournament they have hosted on their new course, which opened in 2004. Tech will look to have a strong showing at the Invitational amongst another highly ranked field.
The competitors in the 14-team field include No.2 Oklahoma State, No.5 New Mexico, No. 13 Texas, No.21 Michigan State, No.28 Kent State, No.29 SMU, No.34 Oklahoma, No.36 Tech, No.42 Texas A&M, No.48 Notre Dame, Texas A&M "B", No.51 Baylor, No.66 Northwestern and No.70 Ohio State.
The 54-hole event will begin on Sat., April 16 with 36-holes to be played out at the Traditions Golf Course (Par 72, 7.235 yards), followed by the remaining 18 holes on Sunday.
