Football Season T-Shirt Contest Announced

LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech students are invited to become a part of Red Raider history and participate in the Wreck'em Tech Official Student T-Shirt Contest. The selected design will adorn a t-shirt that will be sold by the Saddle Tramps and the Double T Zone for the 2005 football season.
All contestants must be enrolled as a student at Texas Tech and must be 18 years of age. Designs must include the slogan, "Wreck'em Tech," and be associated with Texas Tech only. Shirts using logos, mascots or slogans of any other school or university will be disqualified. Also, distasteful art will not be considered.
Students may submit artwork in person to the Texas Tech Athletics External Operations Office in the south end of Jones SBC Stadium or electronically in .jpeg or .gif format to wreckemtech@ttu.edu. All designs must be submitted by 5 p.m. on Fri., April 22.
Contest officials will narrow the entries down to three finalists. The Texas Tech student body will vote on the winning design between April 25 and May 3. The winning entrant will receive two tickets to The Stadium Club for one game, a $250 gift certificate to the Double T Zone and 24 "Wreck'em Tech" t-shirts for friends. The Red Raider football team will host seven home games in 2005, including traditional matchups with Texas A&M (Nov. 5) and Oklahoma (Nov. 19). Tech opens with four-straight games at home - Florida International (Sept. 10), Sam Houston State (Sept. 17) and Indiana State (Sept. 24). The Red Raiders open Big 12 play at home with Kansas (Oct. 1), before facing their first road game of the season at Nebraska (Oct. 8).
Tech hosts Kansas State (Oct. 15) for homecoming, before facing Texas (Oct. 22) and Baylor (Oct. 29) in back-to-back road games. Following the A&M game, Tech meets Oklahoma State (Nov. 12) in Stillwater.
