- Senior shortstop Cameron Blair hit his 14th home run of the season in the leadoff at-bat in the first inning. His 14 dingers tie his entire total from 2004. He also added three RBI on the evening to give 52 on the season.
- Four Texas Tech defensive errors led to 12 unearned runs.
- Tech allowed a season-high 26 runs in the contest...the previous high was 25 that dated back to the 25-0 no-hitter at Missouri.
- Dallas Baptist now leads the all-time series 3-2. The DBU series win was Tech's first home series loss of the season.
