Griffin Undergoes Successful ACL Surgery

LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech head women's basketball coach Marsha Sharp announced that sophomore Darrice Griffin underwent successful anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) knee surgery today and is expected to be ready for the 2005-06 season.
Griffin, a native of Seagraves, Texas, had the ACL in her right knee repaired after tearing it during the Lady Raiders' first practice in preparation for their Australian Tour June 22-July 4.
Griffin is expected to go through approximately five months of rehabilitation and be ready to play this upcoming season.
