LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech women's basketball team will be heading to Australia June 22-July 4 to play five games in Sydney, Brisbane and Cairns as part of its 2005 Australian Tour.
The Lady Raiders will depart Lubbock on Wed., June 22 and arrive in Sydney on Fri., June 24. Tech will play its first game in Sydney on Sat., June 25 against the Australian Junior National Team at 7 p.m. local time (Australia is 15 hours ahead of CDT). The Lady Raiders will play the Australian Junior National Team again on Sun., June 26 at 4 p.m. Tech will then head to Brisbane for games on Tues., June 28 against Southern District at 8 p.m. and on Thurs., June 30 against the Sydney Flames at 7 p.m. The final game will take place in Cairns on Fri., July 1 against Townsville. The time of that game is still to be determined. The Lady Raiders will return to Lubbock on July 4.
