Day three in Sydney started off as I always start if off - wake up at 8:30 a.m. in the morning, phone home to the U.S. and see what's going on there. After the morning phone calls, it's off to breakfast with Erin (Grant) and Chesley. Today was fun at breakfast because we always have a topic at breakfast and that's where our disagreeing starts. Today it was about whether the bacon was cooked or not cooked!! It was a funny conversation.
After arguing for about an hour, we finished up and decided to walk to Paddy's Market, where you go to shop for reasonable prices, BIG MISTAKE. We got lost and it took us about 30 minutes to get there. I felt like we played a game the way my legs were feeling by the time we got there. I told them (Erin and Chesley) "let's take a cab", but no, they said it wasn't that far and I bet we all can guess how we got back, by a cab! Maybe next time they will listen to me. Now back to the shopping. It was fun just to see all the different variety of things that were around there. Anything you can think of was at the market for cheap prices. Finally, after an hour of looking around I bought a key chain with a koala bear on the chain. My best friend told me she wanted a real koala bear brought back so I did, but with a key chain attached to it.
After the market it was time to go back and get ready for the second game against the Australian Junior National Team. Rumor has it that these girls are 19 and under, but I think I need to see birth certificates on these girls. Trust me when I say there is something in the water in Australia, there is! The game was very intense and it felt like we were playing football at times, but in the end we came out on top. Now we are 2-0 on our Australian tour.
Well, now it's eating time for me now so my journal comes to an end because Toy has to eat!
Stay tuned for tomorrow's journal by Brooke, I know this one will be good.
