It's 7:45 a.m. and we are about to get on another plane. All I want is my pancakes, the greatest meal I have every morning. It seems like we've been traveling for months not days. The days feel so much better after I have my pancakes. We finally are packed and ready for Brisbane. The flight was a little bumpy, it almost felt like we were about to fall out of the sky.
After the flight to Brisbane, we arrive and are met by rain. I have a hard time with my bags because I have too much stuff in them. I never know what time it is so I always feel tired. The buses arrived and helped us get our bags situated then we were off to the Hilton. The city of Brisbane has lots of sites and many of them involve water. Before we go to the hotel we stop to see a few of these sites.
The first site is a cliff with a river below it. I can't stand to look because I hate water. The cliff is pretty high off the ground. The view is great! You can see the skyline perfectly and the cliff takes nice pictures. The next stop is the hotel and that sounds great because I'm tired. We don't have to worry about our bags because the bellmen take them to our rooms. Before crashing for awhile, the team and I go grab some lunch. I chose to eat at the Red Rooster because all my other adventures haven't proven to be good ones. Finally, some good food, the Red Rooster does the body good. Now I can take that nap that was calling my name.
When I enter the room, I'm greeted by two twin-sized beds. "What is this supposed to be? Is Toya going to be sleeping on the floor?" I thought to myself. Whatever, I was too sleepy to worry about that. I got a good two-hour nap before having to get ready for our game later on tonight.
I woke up at 3:45 p.m. and got ready for our game. We played a team from Brisbane. On the way to the gym, we had no idea where to go. After getting off the bus it started to rain and nobody would open the doors for us at the gym. Finally, someone opens a door and gets me out of the cold. When we get inside we saw some girls that we thought we might be playing, but fortunately, they were not who we would be playing. Then it was game time and we came out gunnin'! We were able to better ourselves as a team tonight.
After the game we had a little meal with the other team. It was pretty good, better than I thought it would be. Now I'm really tired and I need to take a shower. All this hard work has made me tired and sweaty. On the way back to the hotel we were all being goofy and I couldn't stop laughing. We finally got back to the hotel and now I can take a shower! Good night!
