Lady Raiders to Open Big 12 Play at Kansas State

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Big 12 Conference announced today the 2006 women's basketball schedule. Texas Tech will open conference play at Kansas State Wed., Jan. 4, and finish with Oklahoma on March 1 in Lubbock.
In January, Tech will face three opponents at home and four on the road. Along with Kansas State, the Lady Raiders will travel to Oklahoma (Jan. 18), Oklahoma State (Jan. 25) and Missouri (Jan. 28). Tech will host Texas A&M (Jan. 7), Baylor (Jan. 15) and Nebraska (Jan. 21) the first month of league play.
February will have the Lady Raiders hosting Texas (Feb. 1), Oklahoma State (Feb. 8), Colorado (Feb. 11) and Kansas (Feb. 22), while traveling to Texas A&M (Feb. 4), Iowa State (Feb. 14), Baylor (Feb. 19) and Texas (Feb. 26). Tech will conclude regular-season play in Lubbock March 1 against Oklahoma.
