Lady Raiders Hold First Open Practice

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech women's basketball team held its first open practice of the 2006-07 season today at the United Spirit Arena in front of an estimated 2,000 fans.

Tech held a 45 minute workout prior to signing autographs for an hour. During the event, prizes and giveaways were handed out and fans participated in contests.

The Lady Raiders tip-off the 2006-07 season on Fri., Nov. 10, as they host Texas-San Antonio at 7 p.m. at the United Spirit Arena. They will also play exhibition games on Tues., Oct. 31, against the Houston Jaguars at 7 p.m. and Sun., Nov. 5, against Athletes in Action at 2 p.m.
