LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech head women's basketball coach Kristy Curry has announced that junior forward/center Megan Morris has decided to transfer from Texas Tech University to a Division II school.
"We understand Megan's desire and wish her nothing but the best in her future," said Curry.
Morris, a native of Brownsville, Texas, played one year for the Lady Raiders after transferring to Tech from South Plains College. In 2005-06, she averaged 1.5 points and 1.8 rebounds in eight games.
"I have decided to leave because I want to play more and I thought it was best to leave and play somewhere else where I was needed," Morris said.
As a policy, Curry will not comment on this issue any further.
