LUBBOCK, Texas - Pontiac will donate $5,000 to the Texas Tech general scholarship fund after fans voted last weekend's game-winning touchdown at Texas A&M as this week's Pontiac Game-Changing Performance, announced during halftime of the N.C. State-Florida State game on ESPN Thursday night.
Texas Tech quarterback Graham Harrell connected with receiver Robert Johnson in the front right corner of the end zone on a 37-yard touchdown pass with just under 30 seconds to play to lift the Red Raiders to a 31-27 win over Texas A&M at Kyle Field. The score represented the only points of the half for Tech.
In addition to receiving the $5,000 scholarship award, Texas Tech is now a finalist for the $100,000 Pontiac Game-Changing Performance of the Year, which will be voted on at season's end.
