Lady Raiders Fall to Missouri in Big 12 Quarterfinals

DALLAS (AP) - LaToya Bond scored 24 points and Tiffany Brooks added 15 to lead Missouri to an 81-75 victory over Texas Tech on Wednesday in the second round of the Big 12 women's tournament.
Texas Tech's Marsha Sharp, who has announced she will resign at the end of the season, coached her final Big 12 tournament game.
Cristelle N'Garsanet, Carlynn Savant and EeTisha Riddle all had 11 points for the Tigers.
Fourth-seeded Missouri (21-8) meets top-seeded Oklahoma in Thursday's semifinals.
Alesha Robertson had 17 points for Texas Tech (15-14). Erin Grant added 15 points and nine assists, and LaToya Davis also scored 15 points for the Lady Raiders.
Texas Tech got as close as 62-58 with 8:11 left on Robertson's 3-pointer.
But Missouri went on an 8-3 run capped by Bond's layup with 3:12 remaining for a 70-61 advantage.
The Tigers maintained at least a six-point lead the rest of the way.
Missouri held a 37-33 halftime edge behind Bond's 13 points after Texas Tech was in front by as many as 10 over the first seven minutes.
