- Today's game marked the 46th all-time meeting between Texas Tech and Oklahoma. The Sooners lead the series 24-21-1 and have now won six-straight games in the series. OU has swept Tech (3-0) in each of the last two seasons.
- Oklahoma's series sweep at Dan Law Field is the first over the Red Raiders since Nebraska won all three games here in 2001.
- Texas Tech remains in eighth place in the Big 12 with a 6-10-1 record in Big 12 play.
- Freshman left fielder Roger Kieschnick picked up his sixth home run of the season in the third inning of today's game. He has now hit safely in 38 of 44 games this season.
- A total of 11,792 fans came to Dan Law Field over the course of three games for an average 3,930 per-game.
