Dresser, Floren Nab All-Big 12 Honors

LUBBOCK, Texas - Senior Andrew Dresser and junior Oscar Floren, who are both enjoying outstanding seasons and have led the Texas Tech men's golf team to unprecedented success this season, received another accolade as both players were selected to the 2006 All-Big 12 Golf Team. Floren was one of only four players who were unanimous selections to the team.
Floren, who was selected as mid-season All-America by Golf World, leads the Red Raiders with a scoring average of 71.3 and has taken Top Ten honors in eight of Tech's 11 tournaments this year. Highlighting the Ljungskile, Sweden, native's 2005-06 season are three individual titles on the year as Floren took medalist honors at the Mercedes-Benz Collegiate Championship, the Hyatt Plantation Club Intercollegiate and The Aggie Invitational.
In his final season at the collegiate level, senior Andrew Dresser, is experiencing the best season of his four-year Tech career as the Carrollton, Texas, native has placed in the top ten in seven tournaments on the year and currently carries a 71.97 scoring average. Dresser tied Floren for individual honors at the Hyatt Plantation Club Intercollegiate to help the Red Raider capture their first tournament team title since the 2001 season. At the 2006 Big 12 Men's Golf Championship, Dresser turned in the best finish by a Red Raider, posting a tie for fourth at the event.
In addition to their success on the course, Dresser and Floren have also been successful in the classroom this season as both players were selected to the Academic All-Big 12 team this season.
