LUBBOCK, Texas - Based on the success of the on-going sale of the Southeastern Louisiana-Texas mini-pack, few individual game tickets will be available Sunday when single-game ticket sales begin for the Oct. 28 matchup against the Longhorns, according to the Texas Tech Athletics Ticket Office.
A little over 1,000 mini-packs, coupling this weekend's game against SELU and the late October meeting with Texas, remained as of close Wednesday. Ticket office officials expect few single-game tickets to be available when on-line sales for the Texas game begin Sunday.
"If we sell all of the mini-packs for Southeastern Louisiana-Texas that will only leave 500 tickets on Sunday for the Select-A-Seat Outlets and the internet to sell for the Texas game," said Dave Welsh, Assistant AD for Ticket Operations. "We encourage fans to purchase the mini-pack to guarantee seating for both games."
The mini-pack, available for $110, includes this weekend's $40 ticket and the $85 ticket for the Texas game. It also is the only guarantee to get a Texas ticket, as long as mini-packs remain available.
Remaining Texas tickets are scheduled to go on sale Sunday morning on-line at www.texastech.com and at all Select-A-Seat locations, including United Supermarkets. It is doubtful that reserved seats for the Texas game will still be available for purchase on Monday at the Texas Tech Athletic Ticket Office.
Approximately 700 general admission seats, which are located in the grass area in the North end zone and the temporary metal bleachers in the Northwest corner of Jones AT&T Stadium, will go on sale Monday September 25. All seats for Texas are $85 per ticket. The Texas Tech Athletics Ticket Office will begin sales at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, as well as the Select-A-Seat outlets and www.texastech.com.
Due to the limited number of General Admission seats, customers will have an order limit of 10 tickets per customer.
