LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech Football will make its fourth television appearance of the season when it faces Big 12 North Division rival Missouri at 6 p.m. CT Sat., Oct. 7, on TBS, the league office announced Monday. Lubbock residents can view the game on SuddenLink Cable Channel 17. Those outside of the Lubbock viewing area should check their local listings.
The last time the Red Raiders played on TBS was against Nebraska in Lincoln last season, while the last home appearance on the network was against the Cornhuskers in 2004.
Other games selected for the Oct. 7 weekend are Texas A&M at Kansas (FSN, 11 a.m.), Texas at Oklahoma in Dallas (ABC, 2:30 p.m.) and Nebraska at Iowa State (ABC, 7 p.m.).
Texas Tech (3-1) faces Texas A&M at Kyle Field in College Station this weekend, before returning home to face the Tigers. The Red Raiders and Aggies are playing at 2:30 p.m. Saturday on ABC.
The Red Raiders have won eight of the last 11 meetings with the Aggies, but trail in the overall series 34-29-1. The last two trips to College Station have provided two of the most memorable games in series history as both went to overtime. In 2002, Tech mounted an 18-point fourth quarter comeback for a 48-47 overtime win. The Red Raiders fell short in the extra period two years ago, 32-25. The Red Raiders also have won four of the last five games in the series.
