Shawn Lindsey Named Assistant Athletic Trainer For Tech Baseball

LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech Director of Athletics Gerald Myers and Senior Associate A.D. for Sports Medicine Ken Murray announce the hiring of Shawn Lindsey who will serve as Assistant Athletic Trainer for Red Raider Baseball.
"I am certainly excited to have been able to hire someone with Shawn's experience to help with our baseball program and be part of total sports medicine staff here at Tech," said Murray.
Lindsey, a native of Stamford, Texas, comes to Texas Tech after spending the fall semester as the head athletics trainer at Midland Lee High School. Prior to his stint at Midland Lee, he served in the same capacity at Abilene Cooper High School for 11 years.
At both Midland Lee and Abilene Cooper, Lindsey oversaw the entire sports medicine program for all varsity and junior varsity sports. Along with his duties, he was also in charge of varsity football equipment and team travel.
Lindsey earned his bachelor's degree in Kinesiology from Angelo State University in May of 1992 and his master's degree from Angelo State the following year. He is a current member of the National Athletic Trainers Association and the Southwest Athletic Trainers Association.
