LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech head coach Mike Leach isn't finished coaching this season. The Red Raider leader has been selected as the head coach of the South team in the inaugural Inta Juice North-South All-Star Classic in Houston on Jan. 13. The game will feature some of college football's top seniors from this past season.
"I'm real excited to coach in the Inta Juice North-South All-Star Classic," Leach said. "I look forward to the opportunity to see and meet players from across the country that have accomplished many things in the college careers."
Among the 100 student-athletes playing on both teams, six hail from Texas Tech. Offensive linemen Gabe Hall, Glenn January and Manuel Ramirez join Leach on the sideline, along with punter Alex Reyes, wide receiver Joel Filani and defensive end Keyunta Dawson.
Current Texas Tech offensive coordinator Dana Holgorsen also will coach on the South staff, while Rice head coach Todd Graham will serve as defensive coordinator. San Jose State head coach Dick Tomey will coach the North squad.
The game will kickoff at 11 a.m. at Galena Park ISD Stadium and ESPN2 will broadcast the event live. Tickets range from $20-$45 and can be purchased by calling (832) 386-4330.
