- Junior left fielder Geoff Byrns' had his team-high 11 game hit streak snapped this evening as he went 0-for-3 at the plate with one RBI.
- Sophomore right fielder Roger Kieschnick extended his hit streak to 10 games and is now three away from tying his career high.
- Senior right-hander Travis Young pitched a career-high three innings of relief and fanned seven batters.
- Texas Tech has now given up 17 runs (most of any inning) in the ninth inning this season.
