WAIKOLOA, Hawaii - Texas Tech sophomore Jake Younan-Wise highlighted the Red Raiders' stay in the Aloha State at the UH-Hilo Intercollegiate as he earned his third top-20 finish of the season. Younan-Wise tied for 12th after carding his third under-par round of the tournament to finish with scores of 69-66-68--203 (-7). As a team, the Red Raiders slipped back down the leaderboard after hitting their highest round of the tournament and finished in 10th with 277-272-284--833.

Three of the remaining Red Raiders fired their highest 18-hole score on the third day, including senior Oscar Floren. The native of Sweden capped off a 35th-place performance with a three-over 73 in the third round. Floren turned in scores of 66-69-73--208 (-2). Garrett Merrell also carded his highest round as he finished with a 54-hole total of 209. The sophomore Red Raider finished in 42nd place. Will Griffin finished the tournament with a 1-over 71 to earn a 54-hole score of 215. Griffin tied for 63rd place, a seven-position improvement from day two. Newcomer Matt Smith finished his first tournament as a Red Raider in a tie for 71st. He carded rounds of 72-71-74--217.

Stanford took the team title from Oklahoma State after a playoff took place; each squad finished with a 37-under 803. Cowboy Jonathan Moore earned the individual title by finishing ahead of second place by four shots.

The Red Raiders will take nearly a month off before hitting the road again, as Tech will next travel to Westlake Village, Calif., for the Ashworth Collegiate Invitational hosted by USC on March 5-6. For complete Texas Tech men's golf coverage, please visit www.texastech.com.
