LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech soccer will face UTEP on Sun., April 15, at 3 p.m. The Red Raiders will play UTEP at the new soccer facility located at 10th and Memphis.
The match against the Miners will be the third contest in the Red Raider's spring schedule. The first match was against Oklahoma State in Austin, where the Red Raiders fell 3-0 on a wind swept day. The last game was against West Texas A&M on March 26. Tech shut-out the Buffalos, 6-0, in Canyon, Texas.
"The players are looking forward to playing," said head coach Neil McGuire. "Practice has been going very well, and I look forward to see how we play. UTEP is a very good team who beat us this fall. This will be a stiff test."
Red Raider fans are advised to bring their own chairs to watch these spring matches as the bleacher system for the new field is still in the bidding process.
Texas Tech soccer has only two matches remaining including UTEP on Sunday afternoon, to conclude their spring season. The forthcoming match will be against West Texas A&M on April 24 at 6 p.m. The match will be played at the new soccer facility located at 10th and Memphis.
