- Roger Kieschnick became the third Red Raider this season to reach the double digit mark in home runs. He blasted his 10th dinger of the season in the top of the seventh inning to plate Tech's first run of the game. He joins teammates Matt Smith and Kyle Martin who all have 10 home runs a piece.
- Texas now leads the all-time series 92-32 and clinches the three-game series with the win.
