Sophomore left-hander Cory Large earned his first career Big 12 start today and logged five innings of work. He registered a no-decision and gave up just one run on four hits with four strikeouts.
Sophomore right fielder Roger Kieschnick is now just eight doubles shy of tying the school record for most in a single season. The record is 29 and was set by Jason Landreth back in 1997.
After taking the weekend series against series against Kansas, Texas Tech is now in seventh place in the Big 12 standings. The Red Raiders entered the weekend in ninth place. Only two game separate the fifth and 10th places teams in the league.
