Take Part in Texas Tech's "Pack the House" Challenge

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech women's basketball team will be participating in the 2008 NCAA/Big 12 "Pack the House" Challenge when it hosts Texas on Sun., Jan. 20, at 5 p.m. at the United Spirit Arena.
The "Pack the House" Challenge is a national competition where Big 12 and Division I schools compete against each other with the goal of setting an attendance record and most importantly, growing the sport of women's basketball.
General admission tickets for this game can now be purchased for only $5. Groups of 25 or more can purchase tickets for $3 each by calling Garrett Tressler in Texas Tech External Operations at (806) 742-1195.
Tickets can be purchased by calling (888) GO-BIG-12 or (806) 742-TECH or stop by the Texas Tech Athletic Ticket Office at the north end of Jones AT&T Stadium. Tickets also can be purchased through the Texas Tech athletics website at www.texastech.com and at area United Supermarket and Select-a-Seat locations.
Fans who purchased tickets to the game but are unable to attend may donate their tickets to Lady Raider basketball for distribution to local youth organizations. Fans can drop off their tickets to the women's basketball office at the United Spirit Arena. Fans interested in purchasing tickets solely for donation to local youth groups are welcome to do so and can purchase them at the Texas Tech Athletic Ticket Office or by dropping them off at the women's basketball office as well. Every ticket donated will allow youth in the community to attend a Lady Raider basketball game and help Texas Tech win the NCAA/Big 12 "Pack the House" Challenge.
"I encourage everyone to come out to the Texas game and be a part of Lady Raider Nation," said head coach Kristy Curry. "Your support is essential in the overall success of our team and we would love for you to be a part of it."
Fans are encouraged to come show their support for the Lady Raiders as they "Pack the House" against the Longhorns on Sun., Jan. 20, at 5 p.m. at the United Spirit Arena.
