LUBBOCK, Texas - The highly anticipated matchup featuring No. 2 Texas Tech (10-0) and No. 5 Oklahoma (9-1) will be seen by a nationwide audience at 7 p.m. on ABC. The announcement was made today by the Big 12 Conference.
The primetime broadcast on ABC will be the third straight for the Red Raiders and the fifth consecutive nationally televised broadcast of Texas Tech Football. Texas Tech was part one of the most watched college football games in history two weeks ago as over 11 million fans watched the Red Raiders stun No. 1 Texas 39-33 in the final second of the game. The Tech-Texas game was the fifth-highest rated regular-season football game in the history of ABC Sports.
Texas Tech put on another big show this past weekend with a 56-20 rout of No. 8 Oklahoma State on the same network. The Tech-OSU game in Lubbock marked the first time that longtime sportscaster Brent Musburger had covered a game in the same location in back-to-back weekends.
Musburger will call the action again next weekend in Norman and will be joined alongside color analyst Kirk Herbstreit and sideline reporter Lisa Salters.
