LUBBOCK, Texas - FSN Southwest will telecast a 30-minute special highlighting Texas Tech's spring football game and previewing the 2008 Red Raiders season on Sat., May 17, at 1 p.m. CT as part of the network's annual Spring Football Tour. It's one of several episodes in the series that recaps spring football at Big 12 Conference schools.
The programs include behind-the-scenes, all-access highlights from the school's spring game, in-depth analysis by the coaching staff, and feature stories on players who are expected to make an impact in 2008. In the Texas Tech episode, 2007 Biletnikoff Award winner Michael Crabtree explains what he has in store for his sophomore season, defensive coordinator Ruffin McNeil breaks down the improved Red Raider defense, and defensive end McKinner Dixon talks about working his way back to Tech after a two-year layoff and hoping to pick up where he left off in 2005 as a freshman All-American.
Spring Football Tour shows will run several times throughout the spring and summer on FSN Southwest, leading to the start of football practice (see schedule below for Texas Tech episode May air dates). They also will be carried on Fox College Sports. Big 12 North Division shows will begin running on FSN Southwest in June.
FSN Southwest is available to cable and satellite TV customers in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana and parts of New Mexico. Satellite TV viewers living outside of the Southwest region can watch FSN Southwest on DirecTV Ch. 643 and Dish Network Ch. 416.
