- Tonight's game at Patriot Field marked Tech's first-ever appearance at this ballpark and was the ninth all-time meeting between the two schools. The Red Raiders now hold a slim 5-4 advantage in the series.
- Jason Seefeld's home run in the second was his 10th of the season and his fourth in the last six games. His 10 home runs in 2008 is the highest season total for the senior in his Red Raider career.
- Juniors Willie Rueda and Chris Richburg collected their second triple of the season Rueda hit his in the seventh and Richburg in the fourth.
