Okay, so we're really not going that far back. Danny Amendola is in preseason camp with the Dallas Cowboys, less than a year after helping lead Texas Tech to a 9-4 record and Gator Bowl victory. One of the premier punt returners in Texas Tech history, Amendola began his career at Texas Tech in 2004, following in the footsteps of another Tech great, Wes Welker. While Welker holds most Texas Tech punt return records, Amendola finished third on both the career yardage list (1,283) and career returns list (116). His 90-yard return for a touchdown against Kansas State in 2004 is tied second all-time at Tech. Currently, The Woodlands native has played in one preseason game for the Cowboys.
