- The series between Texas Tech and TCU is now tied at 68-68-1. The Horned Frogs have won the last two meetings between the schools.
- Texas Tech will return to Lubbock tonight where they will spend the next 10 days and enjoy a five-game homestand.
- Freshman designated hitter Scott LeJeune drove in two runs in the seventh and now has six multiple-RBI games this season. Taylor Ashby also drove in a pair of runs for his ninth multiple-RBI game of the year.
- Sophomore Jeremy Mayo made his first start at third base in replacement of freshman Justin Berry. Prior to this afternoon, Berry had made 38-consecutive starts at third.
