- Texas A&M leads the all-time series 88-54 but the Red Raiders have a 36-32 advantage in games played in Lubbock. A&M's last series win in Lubbock came back in 1997 but the Red Raiders went on to claim the Big 12 regular season title that year.
- With a 6-6 record in Big 12 play, Texas Tech is standing at .500 or better in the league for the first time since the 2006 season. After 12 games in 2006, the Red Raiders had an identical mark of 6-6.
- The series win over the No. 11 Aggies is the first over a ranked opponent since taking 2-of-3 from No. 2 Missouri last season.

- Freshman Scott LeJeune belted his second home run of the season in the first inning to give Tech a 2-0 lead. His last home run came against New Mexico back on Feb. 25. He finished the afternoon with three RBIs which ties his career high set two weeks ago at Baylor.
- Today's win over Texas A&M gives the Red Raiders a 3-1 record on Sunday's in Big 12 play.
- Senior first baseman Chris Richburg went 2-for-4 with an RBI and has now hit safely in all 12 Big 12 Conference games this year.
