Spring Practice Underway!

LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech baseball kicked off the 2010 season hosting its first practice of the spring today at Dan Law Field.
The Red Raiders look to improve on last year's season which saw the program finish seventh overall in conference, earning a spot in the Big 12 Championship for the first time since the 2006 season.
Second-year head coach Dan Spencer returns 15 lettermen from last year's 25-32 squad including Honorable Mention All-Big 12 right-handed pitcher Chad Bettis, outfielder Taylor Ashby, shortstop Joey Kenworthy and designated hitter Scott LeJeune.
The Red Raiders will open up the 2010 season with the Red Raider Classic Feb. 19-21 by hosting Jacksonville State and Michigan. Tech will continue its season-opening homestand with single midweek games against New Mexico and Dallas Baptist while hosting the Brooks Wallace Memorial Classic Feb. 25-28.

In addition, all Texas Tech team workouts are held at Dan Law Field and are open to the public to come catch a glimpse of this year's Red Raiders.
