LUBBOCK, Texas - The 2010-11 Big 12 Conference Basketball Media Days are currently taking place in Kansas City, Mo., as the women's portion was held today at the Sprint Center.
Texas Tech was represented by head coach Kristy Curry, junior Jordan Barncastle and sophomore Monique Smalls.
Six schools started off the morning session - Baylor, Iowa State, Kansas, Oklahoma State, Nebraska and Texas A&M, while Colorado, Missouri, Texas, Kansas State, Oklahoma and Texas Tech concluded the day in the afternoon session.
Tech's afternoon session started with a student-athlete round table discussion in which one student-athlete from each school was asked to participate. Barncastle participated in this session for the Lady Raiders. After that, came the one-on-one session, followed by Curry's press conference. Tech finished the day with FSN and Big12sports.com as all three did individual interviews with both media entities.
The Lady Raiders open the regular season on Fri., Nov. 12, at New Mexico at 8 p.m. CST. Tech will begin Big 12 Conference play on Sat., Jan. 3, at Kansas at 7 p.m.
