LUBBOCK, Texas - This week Texas Tech Athletics Communications sat down with freshman Kelsi Baker. Baker is a six-foot forward from Mesquite, Texas, and is ready to for her first season as a Lady Raider. What's your favorite thing about summer
Not having as many classes. I just took Summer II classes.
What's your favorite thing you did this summer?
Going to Canada
What did you like best about Canada?
The scenery
What was your favorite city to visit in Canada?
I really enjoyed our time in Victoria.
What was your favorite activity to do while in Canada?
I went salmon fishing and it was a fun experience.
How was the competition in Canada different than what you expected?
We played by international rules, so that was different. The first team we played was really competitive.
Do you think playing in Canada was beneficial to the team?
Yeah, I think it helped build team chemistry
What's your favorite thing to do in the summer while in Lubbock?
Go to the Rec and play basketball or ping-pong
What skills did you work on for the upcoming season?
I focused on shooting.
What was your favorite activity at Main Event?
Playing pool
