Starting the Game
Jordan Barncastle (F), Teena Wickett (F), Kierra Mallard (C), Casey Morris (G) and Monique Smalls (G) started for the Lady Raiders. The Bengals sent out Chelsea Pickering (F), Ashleigh Vella (F), Kaela Oakes (G), Andrea Blodgett (G) and Lindsey Reed (G) for the tip-off.
At the Half
Tech led, 29-23. Kierra Mallard and Jordan Barncastle led the Lady Raiders with six points each while Mallard also led with six rebounds. Ashleigh Vella led the Bengals with six points and four rebounds. The Lady Raiders outrebounded the Bengals 28-16. Tech forced 11 Idaho State turnovers while allowing eight. The Lady Raiders had 10 steals while only giving up two.
Odds and Ends
Texas Tech won, 64-52. Mary Bokenkamp led the Lady Raiders with a career-high 15 points while Teena Wickett led with 11 rebounds. Chelsea Pickering led the Bengals with 15 points and Cydney Horton led with nine rebounds. Tech outrebounded Idaho State 47-39. The Lady Raiders forced 21 turnovers while committing 13. Tech had 16 steals while only allowing three. In addition to her career-high points, Mary Bokenkamp had a career-high five three-pointers. Casey Morris a season-high four three-pointers and was just one shy of tying her career-high. Monique Smalls had a season-high 10 points.
