Texas Tech Meets Arizona and Rice in Houston

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech women's tennis team travels to Houston this weekend to take on Arizona and Rice. The Lady Raiders (3-1) will go up against the Arizona Wildcats (5-0) on Saturday, February 13 at 11 AM, and then face the Rice Owls (3-2) on Valentine's Day at 11 AM. Both matches will be played at Jake Hess Stadium.
Last weekend, the Lady Raiders lost their first match of the season to the Mean Green of North Texas, 5-2, bringing their season record to 3-1.
Texas Tech downed UT-Arlington in their match opener on January 22, 4-2. The following day, the Lady Raiders stopped Tulane, 4-2. Playing their third match in three days, Tech dropped the New Mexico Lobos, 6-1, at the McLeod Tennis Center on January 24.
After the two matches in Houston, Texas Tech travels to Mississippi next weekend for matches against Southern Miss and Ole Miss.
The Lady Raiders have six more matches on the road before returning to the McLeod Tennis Center for their opening conference match against Baylor on March 3 at 3 PM.
