LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech head coach Tom Stone announced his 2010 spring soccer schedule Thursday, which consists of eight matches, including two at the John Walker Soccer Stadium.
The Red Raiders open the schedule Feb. 27 in Austin, Texas, against Big 12 rival Oklahoma State and the University of Houston, with both matches being played at Northeast Metropolitan Park.
Tech will take a complete month off from action before hosting West Texas A&M on March 27 in the first of two home matches.
The Red Raiders return to the road the following two weekends in the Dallas Metroplex, facing TCU and Arkansas on April 10 at Garvey-Rosenthal Stadium, before tackling SMU and North Texas on April 17 at each school's respective stadium.
The spring ends with the Red and Black match, which will be a joint promotion between the soccer program and Tech's Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity to raise money for the Down Syndrome Guild of Dallas. More information on the April 24 match will be released in the coming months.
NCAA member institutions are allowed five dates in the spring to play competitive exhibition matches. Tech's 2010 fall schedule will be released at a later date.
