- Texas Tech falls to 8-6 on the season and to 8-3 at Dan Law Field.
- Gonzaga's 13-9 win is its first in the all-time series against the Red Raiders as Tech now leads 2-1. The two-game series ended in a 1-1 tie as Tech won the opener 9-7 on Tuesday night.
- Texas Tech allowed seven home runs on the afternoon and that is the highest total in over 10 years. Prior to this afternoon, the most home runs Tech had allowed in a single game was six at New Mexico on Feb. 6, 2007.
- Junior first baseman Stephen Hagen and senior outfielder Bonham Hough each hit their second home runs of the year this afternoon. Hagen added a season-high three hits and drove in a pair of runs.
