- Texas Tech suffers its fourth consecutive defeat and falls to 8-9 on the season.
- The 8-5 win by TCU gives the Horned Frogs a clean sweep of this weekend series and the season series with a perfect 4-0 record. The Frogs have now won six-straight against the Red Raiders and now lead the all-time series 72-68-1.
- The three-game series sweep by TCU is the first against the Red Raiders since Missouri took all three last year in Columbia (April 24-26, 2009).
- TCU scored 25 runs against the Red Raiders in this three-game weekend series and 12 of those runs were scored as unearned due to Tech defensive mistakes.
