GAME NOTES
- Texas Tech falls to 7-5 on the season and is now in the midst of a three-game losing skid.
- Houston now leads the all-time series 43-37 and has won three straight against the Red Raiders.
- Texas Tech falls to 5-13 all-time in the Houston College Classic.
- Texas Tech committed a season-high five errors on the afternoon.
- The 23 runs scored today between Tech and Houston ties the Houston College Classic record when Baylor beat Houston 16-7 in 2001.
- Red Raiders pitchers allowed 10 Houston runs in the second inning and that was the most allowed in a single frame since giving up 10 last year against Missouri on April 24.
- Senior left fielder Michael Reed paced the Tech offense as he went 2-for-4 with three RBIs.
