- Kansas State improves 16-27-1 all-time against Tech. The Red Raiders had previously won five of the last six contests against the Wildcats entering today.
- Taylor Ashby's one hit in the game moved him to sole possession of sixth all-time on the school's career hits chart with 204.
- Scott LeJeune recovered from a slight head injury the day before to go 2-for-4 at the plate with 2 RBIs. The sophomore finished the series 6-for-8 overall.
- Louis Head's two runs allowed were his fewest in a start since facing Michigan in his first outing of the season on Feb. 21. Head went a total of 4.2 innings, nearly matching his season-high of five innings.
- Joey Kenworthy extended his season-long hit streak to 10 games, matching his career high in the process. Kenworthy finished the game 2-for-5 at the plate with two runs scored.
- The loss was only Tech's second on the year when leading after five innings. The Red Raiders were previously 12-1 entering today.
