LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech Lady Raiders (6-9, 1-4 Big 12) make their first of two trips north this season as they take on Big 12 opponents Nebraska and Iowa State this week.
On Friday, the Lady Raiders face the No. 45 Cornhuskers at the Nebraska Tennis Center with doubles play beginning at 4 p.m. The Huskers, tied with Baylor for the top conference spot, are 16-2 for year and are 5-0 in Big 12 play.
The Iowa State Cyclones tennis team will wrap up its home slate when it hosts the Lady Raiders on Sunday at 9:30 a.m. at the Forker Courts. The Cyclones enter the match at 9-9 for the season and are 2-4 in the Big 12 Conference.
Texas Tech closes out their 2009-2010 home season with two conference matches and a non-conference match at the McLeod Tennis Center.
The Lady Raiders are at home on April 16 for their 4 p.m. match against the Colorado Buffaloes (8-8, 1-4 Big 12).
On April 18, Texas Tech takes on Big 12 foe Missouri (5-11, 0-5 Big 12) with the doubles matches against the Tigers getting underway at 1 p.m.
After a short break, the Lady Raiders face a non-conference opponent, the Hilltoppers of St. Edward's from Austin, at the McLeod Tennis Center with doubles play starting at 6 p.m.
The Lady Raiders conclude conference play with their final trip north against two Big 12 opponents, Kansas and Kansas State. The Jayhawks host the Lady Raiders on April 23, and the Wildcats play host to Texas Tech on April 25.
The Big 12 Championship takes place in Austin from April 29 - May 2.
