RED RAIDERS HEAD WEST FOR THE FIRST ROAD GAME OF THE 2010 SEASON Texas Tech will hit the road for the first time in 2010 as the Red Raiders head to University Stadium in Albuquerque, N.M., to face the New Mexico Lobos at 7 p.m. (CT) on Saturday. The Red Raiders will have a short turnaround due to kicking off the season on Sunday at home against SMU. Texas Tech jumped out to a 21-0 lead and held off the Mustangs 35-27 to win its eighth consecutive season opener. Saturday's game in Albuquerque will be televised live on The Mtn. (Mountain West Sports Network) and can be seen nationally on channel 616 on DirecTV. James Bates (play-by-play), Todd Christensen (analyst) and Toby Christensen (sidelines) will call the action for the The Mtn. and Saturday's game will mark Tech's first appearance on the network. Fans that are not DirecTV subscribers can catch all the action live on the Texas Tech Sports Network with Brian Jensen, John Harris and Chris Level. The Texas Tech Sports Network pregame show will begin at 6 p.m. (CT) across all 40 network affiliates and on Sirius Satellite Radio (Channel 126). Saturday's game will mark the 42nd all-time meeting between these two border rivals with Texas Tech commanding a 33-6-2 lead in the series.
