- The win continued Tech's best start to a season in school history. The Red Raiders improved to 6-0 heading into the day's second game.
- Emily Bledsoe had her fourth multiple-hit game so far this season. The junior also scored two runs in the game.
- Brittany Talley finished the game with only four hits allowed and one earned run. The freshman improved to 2-0 on the year.
- Tech's three triples in the game matched its school record that was set on March 27, 1997, against Eastern New Mexico.
- Logan Hall became the first Tech player to have two triples in a game since Denise Jackson did so against New Mexico on Feb. 7, 1997. Jackson and Hall now share the school record as well.
