Throwbacks/Masked Rider are Upcoming Baseball Promotions

LUBBOCK, Texas - This week marks the return to Dan Law Field for the Texas Tech baseball team - after going on a nine-game road swing - and also two big promotions for Texas Tech baseball fans at Dan Law Field.
Tuesday, April 27, the Red Raiders will turn back the clock at 6 p.m. hosting New Mexico, as Texas Tech will wear replica uniforms of the 1926 team. It will be the 11th consecutive year Tech has sported throw-back uniforms in a turn back the clock game.
Prior to the game on Friday, April 29, Texas Tech will have a special Masked Rider ceremony where the old Masked Rider, Christi Chadwell, will transfer the reins to the new Masked Rider, Bradley Skinner, who will then make his first ride aboard Midnight Matador leading the Red Raiders onto the field and into action as they host the Kansas Jayhawks for a 6:30 p.m. first-pitch at Dan Law Field.

"Turn Back the Clock Night"
- Tuesday is Turn Back the Clock Night.
- Texas Tech has worn throw-back uniforms for 10 consecutive years (dates back to 2001).
- Under Armour has provided the latest uniform.
- 2011 throw-back uniforms is a replica of the 1926 Texas Tech uniforms.
- During the game players will wear an exclusive hat (that will be autographed) that is only available in our silent auction which will take place on the concourse. Bidding for the auction will begin an hour before first-pitch and will end in the seventh inning of the Saturday, April 30, game against Kansas.
- All proceeds from the auction will go to the Diamond Club, the exclusive booster club for Texas Tech baseball.
- All tickets to the game are $5.
- All Wienerschitzel hot dogs are $1 (while supplies last).
- Music at Dan Law Field throughout the game will consist of various genres and eras.
"Transfer the Reins"
- Special Masked Rider Ceremony prior to the National Anthem.
- Marks the 57th year of the Masked Rider.
- New Masked Rider, Bradley Skinner) will receive his cape, trademark hat, mask and the reins to Midnight Matador at home plate.
- The outgoing Masked Rider is Christi Chadwell.
- This is the third season that the Masked Rider has led the team onto the field.
