LUBBOCK, Texas - The No. 5 Red Raiders and No. 9 Lady Raiders rebounded with a better day at the Penn Relays as the Red Raiders took the men's shuttle hurdle relay title for the first time.
"The highlight was the shuttle hurdle relay title," head coach Wes Kittley said. "I think it is the third-fastest that has ever been run here. I was really proud and it was unbelievable what we won by. I was a little surprised but was really pleased."
The men's hurdle crew had never won the Penn Relays shuttle hurdle relay prior to today. Omo Osaghae, Brandon Tucker, Jamele Mason and Shane Brathwaite ran the third-fastest time collegiately with its 54.67. It breaks Tech school record by two seconds.
