LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech University and head women's basketball coach Kristy Curry have agreed to a contract extension that will keep her in Lubbock through the 2015-16 season.
Curry has agreed to a five-year extension that will go into effect on June 1, 2011, and run through May 31, 2016.
"My family and I are very happy in Lubbock and we are thankful for the opportunity be part of this great university," said Curry. We are deeply committed to this team and the future of Lady Raider Basketball."
The Lady Raiders ended the 2010-11 season with a 22-11 record and made their first appearance in the NCAA Tournament in five years. Curry will welcome back 13 letterwinners from last year's squad that produced highlight wins over No. 1 Baylor, No. 17 Oklahoma, and No. 20 Iowa State.
