"Meet The Two-Deep" is an exclusive daily feature at texastech.com designed to allow Red Raider Nation to connect with this year's football team. The players in this feature made the official "two-deep" following spring practices, which means they will be competing for a starting spot when Texas Tech opens the 2011 football season at home against Texas State on Sept. 3. Check-in each morning at 10 a.m. (CT) on texastech.com and get to know a different member of your Red Raider football team.

What goes through your mind when running onto the field with the team on a gameday?
"Shoot, it's just the crowd, the fans, and how exciting it is, just getting pumped up for the coming up game is just a great experience."
What is your favorite thing about being a Red Raider?
"I'd have to say the fans, the fans are awesome here, you know, it's so great having so many fans and people behind you, you know the football team, the Red Raiders."
Is there a motto or phrase you live by?
"I just, you know, I go by, is just to be the toughest individual out there you know, never give up, never quit just work as hard as you can everyday."
What is your personal goal for this season?
"My personal goal for the season is, to come out above what I achieved the previous season, be on top of what I've already achieved and be the best."
Who are some of the major influences in your life, both on and off the field?
"One of my major influences off the field is my family, my father especially, on the field I'd have to say Coach Moore, he's been a great influence on me and I wouldn't be where I am today without him."
What has been the biggest difference for you personally from your first year at Tech to where you are now in your career?
"I would have to say just my maturity level, I've grown up a lot since I've been here, this will be my fifth year, I think back to how young I was and how green I was to this program and now I'm a leader."
Give your personal message to the Red Raider Nation.
"You know what, this 2011-2012 season we're coming."
